Advances in Point Cloud-based 3D measurement are making the VideoProbe an increasingly powerful tool for inspectors in the aerospace, power generation, manufacturing, and oil and gas industries. GE’s most advanced VideoProbe uses the processing power of Real3D™ to help you map, measure, and analyze indications in a visualized fully surfaced Point Cloud—enhancing POD.

3D Point Cloud visualization  allows inspectors to check measurement set-up in real time, reducing the likelihood of inaccurate measurements that can result in unnecessary downtime, scrap, and maintenance costs, as well as safety or reliability risks. And with TrueSight HD visuals and digital zoom, and the new long-range 3D measurement tip, even more accurate measurement is now  possible from increased distances.

Real3D™ Measurement – Advanced 3D Inspection Software

  • Real3D™ measurement combines fully surfaced point cloud visualization, advanced measurement algorithms and an insightful 3D Surface Mask and a dynamic warning system to enable more accurate and repeatable measurement decisions. Choose from three measurement technologies (3D Phase, 3D Stereo and traditional stereo). 3D Phase measurement allows measurement on-demand without changing tips.
  • Each of these technologies is compatible with some or all of our 9 measurement types to help get the measurement needed in multiple applications. They include basics like length, depth point to line and area, but also specialty types including depth profile, area depth profile, automatic tip blade clearance and radius gauge.
  • Aside from measurement types, Real3D provides advanced tools such as depth assist and projected measurement plane to further increase accuracy of measurements

The Mentor Visual iQ is changing the way remote visual inspections are being performed. Leveraging artificial intelligence and cloud-based digital tools to help improve productivity, accuracy, and reliability of inspection data.

Powerful analytics: Artificial intelligence is being utilized across industries and  functions, the Mentor Visual iQ is designed to enable a user to leverage analytical models from multiple sources.

  • Waygate Technologies Analytics. Gas Power assist and Blade Counter are analytics developed to improve reliability and data integrity
  • Third Party Partner Analytics. Available directly on the Mentor Visual iQ, users can leverage Aiir Innovations aviation commercial engine models for defect detection
  • Third Party Private Analytics. For customers developing their own analytics, the Mentor Visual iQ enables deployment to a global team

When and where you need them: The Mentor Visual iQ connects directly to the InspectionWorks Store to provide access to workflows and reference libraries. Available to all is the Public store which contains manuals, analytic data sheets, MDI templates and other reference  materials. The Private store is available to InspectionWorks subscribers providing a secure repository for custom MDI workflows, analytics, reference documents, or any other resources your team may need to access and download on to their Mentor Visual iQ. With Push2IW, data collected during an inspection is automatically pushed to the InspectionWorks Insight cloud, ensuring against data loss and reducing after-inspection data management tasks.
